To get Trapster, go to the App Catalog on your phone and search for Trapster.
Main Display
The red dot automatically follows your current GPS location in real time. The red cone shows the Virtual Radar® alert zone. The alert zone dynamically narrows and elongates based on your velocity and direction of travel. Icons animate while the corresponding audio alert is played.
Trap Types
This screen appears when you press "Report Trap" in the lower left corner of your screen. You can then choose from the 7 trap types listed.
Recent Traps
Click the icon in the lower right corner to see a list of traps in your area.
Detailed View
Click on any speed trap or icon and get a detailed view for that location on the map.
Alert Preferences
This screen allows you to set the distance at which you will be alerted when approaching a reported trap, and other aspects of alerts.
Trap Preferences
This screen allows you to change preferences about which specific types of traps you will be audibly alerted to, and which types of traps will be shown on the map. For example, you can exclude speed camera traps, and only include police hiding place traps that have High confidence.
We highly recommend that you get a hands-free kit with car charger and dash or windshield mount like the one pictured below. We like the solid ones better than the ones with a flexible arm.
