How to Set Up Trapster® With Jott - No Download or GPS Required!

Trapster® works best with GPS phones that automatically keep track of where you are, but if you don't have a GPS phone or don't want to download the mobile application, thanks to our friends at Jott you can still use Trapster®, hands free, to report traps! Here's how to get started using Trapster® with Jott on your mobile phone (you must of course first sign up for Trapster®):

Create a Jott account at www.jott.com.
Add Trapster® from the JottLinks tab on the Jott site.
Enable (optional) Trapster® SMS or e-mail alerts Note: these are different than the Jott confirmations. Trapster® SMS alerts are sent when other users report traps in your area.

Notes:
When you send a Jott message to Trapster®, you must say the complete street address (or intersection) including city and state or alternatively the zip code. If you don't know the street address, say the closest cross street. An example of good report is "intersection of First and Broadway Los Angeles California". Also please speak slowly and clearly. Otherwise Trapster® will not be able to interpret the address, and your trap report will fail. The only type of trap that can currently be reported using Jott is a Live Police Trap. Questions? Issues? Please feel free to contact us
